How many words worth Black Square by Malevcih?
If indeed a picture is worth a thousand words what thousand words replaced by The "Black Square"? Or it is not a “picture” per se? And, if it is not a “picture”, then what is it?
This blog is dedicated to Kasemir Malevich, his art, his life and his input in the development of modern art and design. Malevich with his UNOVIS project was based in the town of Vitebsk during 1919-1921 and during these years he shaped his theory of suprematism. The blog is based on my notes from the archival sources that I brought together while doing my research in Vitebsk in 1980s.
