How many words worth Black Square by Malevcih?

If indeed a picture is worth a thousand words what thousand words replaced by The "Black Square"? Or it is not a “picture” per se? And, if it is not a “picture”, then what is it?

This is incorrect, Malevich never was a director of The Vitebsk Art Institute. And he never replaced Chagall. He was indeed a school leader . But director of the school at that time was Ermolaeva, not him.
